Torrie works as a programmer for small system administration tasks like database integration and text manipulation. She is self-taught, as she cannot afford college, so she takes out books on programming from the library.

Her favourite programming language is Perl

As she doesn’t allow herself to have a real social life, Torrie copes with the need for human interaction by talking to people online anonymously. Sometimes she will vent about her own life, sometimes she will pretend to be someone else. It’s dull compared to in-person interaction, but it certainly makes her feel much safer.

Torrie doesn’t want people to remember her in public. Going outside can be very overwhelming to her

Other than the library, Torrie also frequently visists the convienience store closest to her appartment. It’s the only place for grocieries open at night, and there she usually gets instant noodles or canned soup.

Talia is the only graveyard employee there, and while its a risk that Talia recognizes her from her routine-Torrie can tell that she doesn’t want anything to do with her. Talia thinks that Torrie is pretentious from how she covers her eye “as if she had something to hide”.

Even still, Torrie is still uncomfortable that Talia knows who she is and tries to talk to Torrie

Torrie’s routine of going to the library and convenience store changes once she realizes she has a stalker.

Her identity becomes compromised by Zayn, who initially wanted to kill her for her eye, but became infatuated with the idea of her. She represents everything he has ever wanted, and he is far too obsessed with her to kill her yet.

Once she realizes he knows where she lives, Torrie takes a risk by talking to Talia at the convenience store, saying she is in danger.
